For the last month, producer's Swizz Beatz and Timbaland have been providing entertainment to us during this coronavirus pandemic through "Verzuz"-- a battle between our favorite artists, producers, and songwriters. Competitors take turns playing a song from a list of 20 from their catalog as fans, friends, and other artists all tune in on Instagram Live.
Just this last Saturday (April 11th) we saw one of the greatest showdowns yet, when the two legends RZA and DJ Premier faced off against each other.
This battle was like a Hip Hop Christmas!
Now it looks like we might be due for another epic battle as one of the biggest beefs in hip-hop could go head to head on Instagram Live!
On Sunday, Ja Rule called Fat Joe while he was on IG Live with Swizz Beatz and confirmed that he's willing to go against 50 Cent for the next Verzuz series!
"I'll behave" Ja Rule reassured after explaining his love for the culture and that this battle with 50 would be friendly.
Swizz was a little wary of Ja's intentions and responded by saying it sounded like a "devilish 'behave.'" Which is understandable, especially since we know 50 can be a lot more petty!
We haven't got a response from 50 just yet, but I'm hoping they're able to put the beef aside and let this battle fly for the culture!
