Nike Has Ended Their Partnership With Amazon

In an attempt to make their consumer experience a more intimate one, Nike will no longer be selling their shoes through Amazon.

Their Nike-Amazon partnership was brought about in 2017 to help decrease the number of fake sneakers that were being sold to customers through third-party vendors on the site. But just two years later, Nike has made the decision to no longer sell the Nike brand, including shoes and apparel, on the marketplace.

In a statement to Bloomberg Nike said, "As part of Nike's focus on elevating consumer experiences through more direct, personal relationships, we have made the decision to complete our current pilot with Amazon Retail. We will continue to invest in strong, distinctive partnerships for Nike with other retailers and platforms to seamlessly serve our consumers globally."

According to Complex, Nike's presence on the marketplace didn't greatly effect the number of counterfeit products and third-party sellers actually received more product reviews than Nike.
