The NBA released their first, second, and third All NBA team honor and for the third consecutive year, Klay Thompson has been left off the list.
On Thursday, Thompson was notified that he didn't make the team was visibly a bit upset and even had an eye roll, when he found out that Kemba Walker made it in front of him. He didn't mean any shade but had a reason to be upset,
“I respect those guys, but when you go to five straight finals, it takes more than just a couple All-NBA guys...Whatever. I’d rather win a championship than be third-team All-NBA.”
Now this honor might seem just that, but it actually effects Thompsons contract. By missing out on the team, according to Yahoo Sports,
"After being left off the All-NBA rosters for a third straight year, he is eligible for $190 million instead of $221 million through 2024."
The people of the internet were rallying behind Klay, clearly upset by the snub.
