The has been buzzing ever since Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans requested to be traded after the 2018-2019 season.
That news sent teams like the Los Angeles Lakers into over-drive to get an offer together to send to the Pelicans. It's no secret that AD would love to play with LeBron in LA and the Lakers were willing to send many of their young core players with some draft picks to the Pelican's to make that happen. After many offers, the last one sent consisted of according to Bleacher Report : Lonzo, Kuzma, Ingram, Hart, Zubac, KCP, and 2 first-rounders to Pelicans for AD and Solomon Hill.

But the Pelican's wanted more than what the Lakers were willing to offer, including 6-8 draft picks. That deemed too much for the Lakers and they have officially pulled out...for now.
ESPN insider, Adrian Wojnarowski has reported that it's not that the Lakers are completely done, but waiting for a counter-proposal from the Pelicans.
And so now, we wait...
