For the past 40 years, Sylvester Stallone has given us one of the most iconic characters in film history, with Rocky Balboa. In that 40 years we've gotten six movies, and two spin-offs with Creed and the newest Creed II. Which chronicles the boxing career of Rocky's late friend and opponent Apollo Creed's son, Adonis. To whom Rocky plays a mentor and a coach. But it seems, that's the last we will be seeing of Rocky.
Stallone took to Instagram to say how much the character has meant to him,
"I am reposting this because there was a technical difficulty. I just want to thank everyone around the whole wide World for taking the Rocky family into their hearts for over 40 years. It’s been my Ultimate privilege to have been able to create and play this meaningful character. Though it breaks my heart, Sadly all things must pass... and end. I love you Kind and generous people , and The most wonderful thing of all , is that ROCKY will never die because he lives on in you ...."
All good things must eventually come to an end.
