Young Black Man Shot By Police After He Stopped A Gunman

Jemel Roberson is a hero.

On Monday night, after a shooting broke out in a nightclub called Manny's, in Midlothian Illinois, the security guard on duty, Jemel Roberson risked his life to stop the gunman, but instead, his own life was taken by police.

According to reports, after Roberson pinned down the gunman and waited for police, he was shot and killed because the police thought that he was the shooter, even though he was in uniform. It was only right after that another officer yelled out, "He's one of us!"

All Jemel Roberson was doing was his job, and for that, he paid the ultimate price. He was only 26.
