If you are one of the 3,000 early morning BART riders who take the first train out to work, your daily commute will be affected in the coming months. BART has announced that they will begin construction on the Transbay Tube, and instead of 4 a.m. trains being the first to leave the station, the first trains will now be at 5 a.m. and BART will provide buses for the early morning riders which will run every 15 or 30 minutes.
The hour difference in trains starting is to let workers have more time in the early hours to work on the Transbay Tube for the next four years.
