San Francisco has had a huge problem of loose needles on the ground and even lodged in BART seats.
Now the city might be allowed to start a program to let people inject heroin and other drugs under supervision of medical supervision. In the hopes of reduce the number of deaths caused by overdosing.
On Monday, The California Assembly voted to send the bill to the governor. According to reports from KRON4, the safe injection sites would provide sterile needles for people to do illegal drugs without being arrested.
