Golden State Warrior's, Stephen Curry isn't just an inspiration on the court the court, but off of it as well.
On Tuesday at his SC30 Showcase Game, Curry helped raise over $21,000, for the family of Nia Wilson, the young woman that was murdered in July at BART. At the beginning of his basketball's camps all star game, Curry said, “I’m sure everybody is aware of the tragedy, the loss we’ve had in the Bay Area recently, the life of Nia Wilson,” going on to dedicate the game in Nia Wilson's honor and encouraged fans that were at the game and watching online, to donate.
Nia Wilson's family was also in attendance, along with her sister Letifah Wilson, who was also stabbed and injured. Their father, Ansar El Muhammed spoke on how the support has kept their family going.
