In a follow up to his Oscar winning film, "Moonlight", Barry Jenkins releases the teaser trailer for his highly anticipated film of James Baldwin's novel, "If Beale Street Could Talk" on the novelists birthday.
The film stars, Regina King, Brian Tyree Henry, Diego Luna, and Pedro Pascal. And introduces some fresh new faces as the lead roles with Kiki Layne and Stephen James. The film is set in Harlem in the 70's with Kiki Layne's character is a pregnant young woman and her fiancé played by Stephen James is in jail. The trailer adds soundbite from James Baldwin narrating from the critically acclaimed documentary, "I Am Not Your Negro".
With the success of "Moonlight" and the trailer for "If Beale Street Could Talk" alone, we are sure Barry Jenkins is delivering another hit.
The movie is set to open on November 30th.
