Kendrick Lamar is dipping his toe into the acting world by appearing on Power. Starz announced that the Grammy winning rapper will be featured in this week's episode. They're keeping the details about who he's going to be playing tight but they did reveal that Kendrick will be sharing some screen time with the show's Executive Producer 50 Cent. So how'd this come about? Well, Kendrick hasn't been shy about his love for the show. The show's EP expressed why they decided to include Lamar in the series:
“Kendrick is a once-in-a-generation talent and [series creator] Courtney [A. Kemp], 50 and I felt it would be exciting to create a role for him in Power,” executive producer Mark Canton said. “Everyone involved is thrilled to have him join the family.”
