BART and the VTA will start new tests on trains Monday in San Jose, it is part of the next phase of extending BART through San Jose, with the Berryessa station which is scheduled to open this year!
Residents who live nearby will be seeing trains being tested on the track for up to 20 hours a day on a 10 mile stretch for the next few months!
BART and VTA says that this is being done so the people that live near the tracks can get used to the sounds of the train. Some houses even received multi-paned windows and insulation.
