Ryan Coogler is giving back to the youth of his hometown! He recently got 300 students from the Richmond's Caliber Beta Academy and took the students on a classroom to a field trip unlike any other.  They all got a chance to see Coogler's blockbuster movie, "Black Panther"!

Rodney Alamo Brown of the Caliber Beta Academy said, "It's imperative that these kids see they can go from a zero up to the top with one leaping bound. They need to see things like that."

Principal Ashlee Gutierrez said that, "we can show them what's truly possible and powerful and intelligent and beautiful they actually are. My hope is that they see it reflected back and start to believe us."

What was even cooler is that Coogler made a guest appearance and sat with the kids, which middle schooler Mario Lopez enjoyed, saying, " "He's from the Bay Area and it's cool to see somebody from our city do something that big."
