If you think that The Weeknd is only a voice on the soundtrack for Marvel's "Black Panther" think again. He also has a Marvel comic book series on the way based on his 2016 album "Starboy."
News of the comic broke at Comic-Con New York October of last year and now more details have emerged. The story will take place in the city of Alphatron where a cannibalistic villain is on a crime spree. Then steps in the hero, Starboy, to save the city.
In a press release The Weeknd said, “Marvel is the pinnacle of success in their field and I’ve been a lifelong fan of their work...To be able to partner with them is a dream come true.” (courtesy of Fader)
The first issue of The Weeknd presents: Starboy will hit stores on June 13.
