It was just last week when Chance The Rapper spoke on Mo’Nique’s worthiness of a better Netflix deal and now former co-star Kimberly Elise is speaking up for the comedian.
Elise, who co-starred with Mo’Nique on Almost Christmas says that Mo’Nique was “radiant on set”. Elise tweeted, “They want the #BlackGirlMagic but have not wanted to pay for it”. Mo’Nique called for a boycott of NetFlix after the streaming service was only willing to pay her $500,000 for a comedy special while paying comparable comedians millions.
Mo'Nique has said that Oprah tried to get her to promote Almost Christmas for free.
