Walnut Creek Police reported that an elderly woman's car was stolen at a gas station on Tuesday morning. She stepped away from her car for a few minutes when a thief took her car with her dog inside.
The car was later found at the Lowe's in Antioch. The woman's schnauzer, Maddie, was not in the vehicle, but was later spotted unharmed in Oakley.
According to KRON 4, the suspect was caught on video stealing the vehicle and has been arrested for theft.
