Oakland To Start Monthly Payment Program To Keep People From Homelessness

Oakland to begin a new program that sends monthly payments to landlords with hope that this will keep people from losing their housing and being homeless.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the city will aid 200 extremely low-income households who pay more than half of their monthly income on housing. With this program, families will receive help for up to 18 months.
