Golden State Stimulus II payments have reportedly started going out to eligible Californians.

KRON 4 reports that as many as 600,000 payments were deposited into bank accounts last week and another round of payments are expected to go out in approximately two weeks.

About 66% of California’s population is expected to benefit from what is being touted as the largest state tax rebate ever in the U.S.

California residents who did not receive the first Golden State Stimulus earlier this year, may be eligible for the Golden State Stimulus II. To qualify, you must meet these requirements:

  • Have a California Adjusted Gross Income of $1-$75,000
  • Have wages $75,000 or less
  • Be a California resident for more than half of the 2020 tax year
  • Be a California resident on the date payment is issued
  • Cannot be claimed as a dependent by another taxpayer

Residents have until October 15, 2021 to file their 2020 tax returns.
