California Governor Recall Election: How To Vote, Important Dates To Know

See below for important information if you plan on voting in the California Governor Recall Election.

IMPORTANT DATES

  • August 16 - First day to vote by mail
  • August 30 - Last day to register to vote before the election. *You may also register at a polling location on election day.
  • September 14 - Election Day, polls are open 7a-8p

HOW TO REGISTER TO VOTE:

  • Register to vote here.
  • Check your voter registration status here.

HOW TO VOTE:

  • In Person: Voters may go to a nearby polling place to cast their vote on Election Day.
  • By Mail: Voters who received their ballot by mail may return them by sending them out in the mail, dropping it off at a designated ballot drop box or at a polling place. All ballots must be post marked on or by Election Day and received within 7 days. You can track your ballot here.
