Golden State Stimulus II: What You Need To Do To Get Your Check

The Golden State Stimulus II is set to begin sending out payments as soon as next month.

Those that are eligible MUST file their 2020 taxes by October 15, 2021 to receive payment. If you have already filed your taxes, you do not need to do anything. Your payment will be received based on the refund option you selected when your taxes were filed.

To qualify for the Golden State Stimulus II, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Filed 2020 taxes
  • Have a California Adjusted Gross Income of $1-$75,000
  • Have wages $75,000 or less
  • Be a California resident for more than half of the 2020 tax year
  • Be a California resident on the date payment is issued
  • Cannot be claimed as a dependent by another taxpayer
