Woman Convicted Of Felony Charges After Robbing Bay Area Walgreens

A San Francisco woman was recently convicted of felony robbery after robbing a Walgreens near Civic Center. She reportedly entered the store with another person when they proceeded to cough without masks. When asked to leave, they claimed they had COVID and left the store without paying for several items.

According to Mercury News:

Carmelita Barela faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine when she is sentenced in August.
