The Oscars was a historic event with nominees and winners giving us representation in categories that we have never seen before. These groundbreaking moments included Riz Ahmed becoming the first Muslim Actor nominated for best actor, Chloe Zhao took home an Oscar making her the first woman of color to win best director and Mia Neal and Jamika Wilson became the first Black winners in makeup and hairstyling for their work in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom. This isn't even the complete list of firsts, but the night wouldn't have been complete without the moment that still has folks jaws dropping and actually LOL! If you missed the moment when Rel Howery took on the hosting duties with Questlove providing the soundtrack-then you missed Andra Day calling out the Oscars for not nominating Prince's Purple Rain, Daniel Kaluuya slipping up a bit on a Q about Donna Summer and the icing on the cake Glenn Close doing 'Da Butt' on primetime TV. Pretty sure this moment was rehearsed, but it was still too cute and had everyone rollin'- her knowledge of music and readiness to jump up, stick it out and shake her bass was unforgettable. Let's not forget it was all closed out with Rel calling the show the 'Blackest Oscars' ever! Yassss! Check out the moments below...and if you've seen it, it's worth a re-watch!
