Minnesota Attorney General Will Be Increasing Charges Against Derek Chauvin

UPDATE:

The other three officers involved are now booked in jail.

Minnesota Attorney General will be increasing charges against Minneapolis police Derek Chauvin to 2nd degree murder. Chauvin was seen with his knee on George Floyd's neck and was previously charged with manslaughter and third degree murder.

The other three officers involved will be charged.

Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar went to twitter to say,

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison is increasing charges against Derek Chauvin to 2nd degree in George Floyd’s murder and also charging other 3 officers. This is another important step for justice.
