Chance The Rapper To Headline 2020 NBA All-Star Game Halftime Show

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon - Season 7

Chance the Rapper has been billed to headline the 2020 NBA All-Star Game.

According to Complex, the rapper revealed he would lead the night’s musical performances during last night’s (December 19) third-annual Night at the Museum event. Additionally, the upcoming sports game will be treated to performances from fellow Chicagoans Common and Chance’s younger brother, musician Taylor Bennett.

The 26-year-old will take center stage with a special guest on February 16 to deliver a medley of his greatest hits at the United Center in his hometown. Per the outlet, Common is expected to give “a moving narrative about what basketball means to the city” before tip-off, whereas Taylor will perform the NBA Rising Stars event on February 14.

This is the first gig the emcee has lined up following the cancelation of his “Big Tour,” plotted in support of his debut album The Big Day. After pushing back concert dates three months prior, Chance declared the trek was a no-go last week.

“I’m gonna take this time to be with family, make some new music and develop my best show to date,” he told fans at the time. “I’m deeply sorry to anyone with a ticket who has supported me this past decade by coming to a show and rocking out with me and I feel even worse for anyone who was planning on making this their first Chance concert. … I promise to come back much stronger and better in 2020 and hope to see some of you guys there. I truly love you and God bless.”

The 69th Annual NBA All-Star Game airs live at 8 p.m. ET on TNT. Get tickets to all of Chance’s future events here.
