Michael B. Jordan took home the "Best Villain" award for his role in Black Panther at the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards. During his acceptance speech Jordan calls out sitcom star Roseanne Barr.
"I'm shocked that I won this award for best villain. I thought for sure Roseanne had that in the bag," said Jordan.
These remarks come after Barr was slammed for racist tweets about former President Barack Obama's senior advisor, Valerie Jarrett. The tweets actually resulted in Barr's sitcom being cancelled. This was not Barr's only time under fire for being racist. Barr's sitcom was criticized for airing a controversial episode regarding Muslims only weeks prior.
