Like your health? Don't put these foods in the microwave.

Can you believe that the microwave was given to us 30 years ago? Since then the clever appliance has been the go to device to reheat meals and lessen time in the kitchen.

While young folks use it to make popcorn, oatmeal, hot chocolate and other things, we're using it wrong to reheat food.  See, microwaves don't cook food evenly and that means bacteria in reheated food will survive. 

So to minimize the risk of getting sick or worse, these are the top foods to not heat or reheat in the microwave. 

Hard boiled eggs, breast milk, processed meat, rice, and chicken.
