No More Ducking Your BART FARE-Police Start Checking For These TODAY!

We know that folks sneak into BART ALL THE TIME by not paying their fare, but it looks like those days are OVER! BART announced that, starting Thursday (3/1/18), police officers will be on platforms and trains with special machines that will check to make sure you've paid your fare! Passengers who hop gates or don't have a valid ticket should expect to get hit with a fine of up to $120 for adults and $60 for minors, with criminal penalties for repeat adult offenders.

BART loses an average of $25 million dollars each year due to fare evaders but with these new checks this number will be considerably lowered!
