Roxanne Shante is known as one of the women who pioneered hip hop in it's early days and has a story full of heart, turmoil and success.
Her true story is headed to Netflix in the form of a movie called 'Roxanne, Roxanne' and will feature her young life as an emcee, mother, and battle rapper in NYC back in the 80's.
The film has won multiple film festival awards already & a few of the producers of 'Dope' & 'Fruitvale Station' collaborated to make the film happen!
