Missouri plans to put a 48-year-old man named Marcellus Williams to death Tuesday, even though his lawyers say new DNA evidence proves his innocence.
Marcellus Williams lawyers say his DNA was not found on the murder weapon, however DNA from another male was found.
The lawyers submitted the evidence & got an immediate response but it wasn't the one they wanted.
The Missouri Attorney General's Office argues the execution should still happen based on the fact that DNA evidence doesn't overcome non-DNA evidence that connects Williams to the crime.
