After a few incidents lately and people finding out some of the cameras on BART were dummy cameras & others just weren't recording BART announced that all cameras are now completely & fully functional.
I always thought they were until the incident where the youth ran onto trains to assault people earlier this year and some of the footage wasn't able to be found by employees.
