Saturday night Southern California senior corner back Josh Shaw injured both ankles after leaping from a second-story balcony to save his 7-year-old nephew, Carter, from drowning in a pool. This so happened to be the same night he was named team captain of his college football team. His injuries from the leap left him with 2 fractured ankles and he is expected not to play indefinitely.

Now TMZ.com is reporting that Shaw was actually named in a Burglary stemming from the same incident. A woman apparently called police because she spotted a man shimmering down the side of a building. He was NOT named as a burglar but cops allegedly told TMZ they're going to re-interview everyone involved in light of new information.

Just can't let him be a hero huh?
