Ayudando Latinos a Soñar and Bay Area Border Relief are two Bay Area Non-Profits that recently came together to not only feed local residents with their Cheese, Spinach and meat TAMALES, but they also used the money from the sales to feed Ukranian Refugees. What a great way to use food to provide food - so all around good food and good deeds!!

The close to 1500 Tamales reportedly sold out in days and they were able to raise close to $12,000 to benefit the World Central Kitchen which has set up near the war zone helping to provide meals to the displaced Ukrainian people.

There are some amazing heroes who have the means and time to get up and go directly to help Ukrainian refugees. From nurses and doctors to people with big hearts and courage to be in the war zone, the support is immeasurable for the refugees and thankfully directly near the borders where people are being displaced. You might be thinking what can I do, how can I help? I'm way over here. You can help from where you are by donating to a cause like this Tamale fundraiser or use your voice through your social media with #StandUpForUkraine. 106 KMEL and iHeartRadio have teamed up with Global Citizen and you can help to urge that more relief and humanitarian aid makes its way to help out.
