California may become the first state in the U.S. to make "stealthing," the act of removing a condom during intercourse without consent, illegal.

Democratic Assemblywoman Cristina Garcia's bill to make "stealthing" illegal passed in California with no opposition. She says that the act "can cause long-term physical and emotional harm to its victims," according to KRON 4.

A final vote will take place later this week.
