It's probably time to reschedule your Lake Tahoe trip.

Highway 50 has been closed since Saturday after the Caldor Fire entered Kyburz. The highway is closed in both directions between Sly Park and Myers.

Residents are allowed to enter the freeway, but must show identification and proof of residency, according to KCRA. There is currently no set date to reopen as the fire continues to ravage the area.

CAL FIRE reports that as of Wednesday, August 25th, the Caldor Fire has burned through 126,182 acres and is 11% contained.
