Dre, Pharrell + Jimmy Iovine To Open Innovative Schools For Low Income Fams

Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine have been working together for years and now they've decided to launch another project together, this time they'll be opening a high school in Southern California. The school isn't planned to feature music oriented programming but rather they're focus will reportedly be on preparing the kids for real life situations and entrepreneurship.

Meanwhile across the nation in Virginia, Pharrell has plans in the works to open a number of private schools for kids from low income communities of color. His non-profit has already seen success in providing summer providing and is now growing into an expanded curriculum. Both of these schools will give kids access to education they may not otherwise have access to as well as prepare them for successful pathways in whatever industry they plan to be in. With this in mind, the school's graduates will feel empowered, educated and uplifted.

One thing is for sure these schools will be innovative and bring a whole other level of cool to education and hitting the books!
