A Bay Area man flying on Southwest from Oakland to Houston refused to wear his mask properly and when he was asked to cover his nose and provided another mask he threw the mask down and still refused to wear it saying that he wouldn't be required to do so when he arrived in Texas. Instead of following the Covid protocol, which is actually enforced by the CDC and TSA, he argued with the flight staff and is now going to have to pay for his unruly behavior. He is just one of five passengers that was slapped with a fine this week for refusing to follow Airline Covid Guidelines. These fines range from $9,000-$15,000 and you too could be hit with one of these fines if you don't follow the rules, as the FAA is going to make these fines a real thing moving forward. These passengers will have about 30 days to come up with the funds to pay these fines.
