Listen to Bone Thugs-n-Harmony on iHeartRadio

Bone Thugs-n-Harmony rapper Layzie Bone is stepping away from the group.

Layzie took to Twitter to let fans know that he's been working on his new solo album Perfect Timing.  The hip-hop veteran further distanced himself from the group by writing that after he performs with Bone Thugs at the upcoming Rock the Bells concerts, he's "not obligated" to do anything else with the group.

Layzie says he's decided to stop performing with the group because it "makes sense right now."

Bone Thugs-n-Harmony are slated to perform alongside a hologram of the late Eazy-E at this year's Rock The Bells concerts.  The two day concert series kicks off on September 7th and 8th in San Bernardino, California.

It will also make stops in Mountain View, California on September 14th and 15th; Washington, D.C. on September 28th and 29th; and Rutherford, New Jersey on October 4th and 5th.
